Survivors include her four children: Beverly (Ross) Iverson of Marshalltown, Iowa Marlene Wagner of Moville, Iowa John Wright and special friend Vee Cannon of Waterloo, Iowa and Mary (Craig) Christensen of Fullerton, NE six grandchildren: Brett (Makyla) Iverson, Cort (Rachael) Iverson, Thomas (Lois) Wright, Angela (Jeremy) Fischer, Hanna (Adam) Rasmussen, and Scott (Katie Reisdorff) Christensen fifteen great-grandchildren two sisters, Virginia Goss of Sioux City, Iowa and Irene (Ray) Clause of Moville, Iowa and many nieces and nephews. She enjoyed many hobbies, including baking, crafting, and sewing special felt Christmas stockings for each member of the family. She was a member of the Moville Garden Club. She loved gardening and raising beautiful flowers. She was in United Methodist Women’s Group, TOPS, and Mended Hearts. Mildred was a member of the United Methodist Church in Moville. After Tom got sick, she took over the farm operations. She also worked at Swift & Co., Hunting Turkey Farms, Rob Ross and as Woodbury County Assessor. Mildred married Thomas Wright Apin Dakota City, Nebraska. She lived within 30 miles of where she was born all her life. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and football - and especially watching his children’s and grandchildren’s activities. Gary worked for West Transportation until his retirement in 2006. Gary married Judy Millard on September 19, 1958, in Elk Point, S.D. The family relocated to Sioux City in 1945. Gary was born on March 14, 1941, in Sibley, Iowa, to Walbert and Dorothea (Steffenhagen) Gruis. on Friday, September 30, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Moville. Memorial services commemorating Gary’s life will be held at 10:30 a.m. 18, 2016, at Kingsley Specialty Care in Kingsley, Iowa, following a brief illness. Gruis Sr., 75, of Moville, passed away Sunday, Sept. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service of Sioux City. Wendzillo, 84, of Bronson, died Tuesday, Septemat a Sioux City hospital.
